Ricardo has a broad background in biochemistry, molecular biology, enzymology, metabolic engineering, and organic/analytical chemistry. His research has focused in the creation of new platforms for discovery and characterization of protein function and their use in metabolic engineered systems related to bioenergy and other national security topics.
