The Strategic Analyses and Assessments (SAA) Office at Los Alamos National Laboratory provides the defense and intelligence communities across the Federal government with timely, relevant information about nuclear weapons effects and emerging national security challenges. We focus on building partnerships through collaboration, integration, education, and outreach.

Mission

The mission of the Strategic Analyses and Assessments Office is to build partnerships through collaboration with Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and across organizations. We work together to increase understanding and analyses of national security challenges, integrate and coordinate across nuclear weapons stakeholders, and educate our stakeholders on the art of the possible.

Vision

Our vision is to provide analytical assessments of nuclear weapons effects, integrate stakeholders in the nuclear weapons effects (NWE) community, and educate and support the U.S. nuclear weapons community.
