Nov 15-18: New Mexico Association of Museums Annual Conference

This year’s conference of the New Mexico Association of Museums takes place in Los Alamos, with sessions in locations across town, including many at the historic Fuller Lodge.

Nov 16: Science on Tap: Cryo-electron microscopy

Enjoy a talk and discussion about new ways to see biomolecules at the atomic level. Hosted by Bradbury Science Museum at UnQuarked Wine Room at 5:30 p.m.

Nov 18: New Mexico Electric Car Challenge

Teams of middle schoolers from across the state display and race the battery-powered model cars they have designed and built.

November 23: Thanksgiving

Nov 24-25: Ghost Ranch STEM Camp

Children ages 7-17 are invited to attend the free Ghost Ranch STEM Camp, “Rocks, Bones and Brains” over the Thanksgiving weekend. Families are welcome to beat Black Friday with education!

Nov 25, 26: Feature Film: Incoming!    

Get to the Pajarito Environmental Education Center at 2:00 p.m. on either day for their showing of the film Incoming! and discover what impacts from above can teach us about the history of our planet, the Solar System, and the Universe.

Los Alamos National Laboratory’s participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) events is made possible with support from the Department of Energy through the Laboratory’s Science Education Community Service Time Program. To request STEM experts, complete a brief online request form.

Los Alamos experts and volunteers can also be requested through the Laboratory’s Volunteer Program.
