Science, Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Education
Profile for Laboratory Employees
Thank you for your interest and support in seeking LANL volunteers to assist with your STEM-related program. The STEM volunteer program goal is to provide an enthusiastic pool of volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds to offer their time to work with our local STEM partners.

Science Education Community Service Time:  LANS full-time or part-time employees are eligible at the discretion of their supervisor, to use up to 32 hours per fiscal year.  STEM activities that qualify for Science Education Community Service Time include judging science fairs, helping with STEM related career fairs, giving STEM-related talks, and tutoring as part of an organized program.

Please complete the following information and submit at least two weeks prior to your event so that we will have enough time to match your request with a LANL volunteer.  You will receive a confirmation of your request within three days of your submission.

In addition to Science Education Community Service Time, VolunteerMatch is another tool for you to post your request.  The website is:  http://volunteermatch.org. This is a public site that provides volunteer information and listings for our local community.

For questions regarding your request, contact Janelle Vigil-Maestas at (505) 665-4329 or vigil-m@lanl.gov.
