The event features a dinner buffet and cash bar and is a good opportunity to network and meet the job creators of our region.
October 13: Innovation to Manufacturing panel
ProjectY hosts a New Mexico MEP-moderated panel of manufacturers from Northern New Mexico who will talk about scaling from proof-of-concept to manufacturing. The event starts at 5:30 p.m.; following the panel, participating companies will showcase demos of their products.

One of the easiest ways to grow your business quickly is to sell more to the customers you already have. Learn how at ProjectY at 7 p.m.
October 26: Challenge Her
This event highlights opportunities for women in federal contracting. Learn how to navigate the federal contracting industry and win federal contracts by knowing the rules and understanding the strategies.
October 26: Fire Safety for Young Children
From 10:30 a.m.–noon, stop by the Family Strengths Network to practice basic fire safety in LAFD’s prevention truck. Kids can also watch the fire fighters dress in their gear and practice skills to stay calm in an emergency. Best for children ages four and older.
October 26: Successfully Marketing Your Business to the Government
This is the first day of a two-day, free workshop that will provide what you need to market to—and build relationships with—government agencies. A textbook, workbook, and presentation materials furnish you with lasting tools and information.

October 28: Trick-or-Treat on Main Street
From 4–6:30 p.m., Central Avenue in Los Alamos becomes a pedestrian area were local businesses and organizations distribute candy to costumed trick-or-treaters.
October 29: MANA del Norte Scholarship Banquet
The 27th annual event kicks off with a silent auction at 5:30 p.m. at the Lodge at Santa Fe.
November 5: Northern New Mexico College Foundation Gala
The 21st annual event takes place at the Ohkay Convention Center from 6–9 p.m.

Lab Volunteers
Los Alamos National Laboratory’s participation in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) events is made possible with support from the Department of Energy through the Laboratory’s Science Education Community Service Time Program. To request STEM experts, complete a brief online request form.
Los Alamos experts and volunteers can also be requested through the Laboratory’s Volunteer Program, which partners with the national Volunteer Match initiative.

The Laboratory has speakers with experience in a wide variety of subjects who can tailor their content for a range of audiences. Call 505-667-7000 to be matched with the right person for your audience.
