I am pleased to share with you that Los Alamos National Security, LLC (LANS) is continuing its investment in northern New Mexico by pledging $2.5 million to support education, economic development and community giving initiatives in the region this year.

Economic development investments help support Northern New Mexico entrepreneurs, high-growth companies, and strategic business development—all of which are crucial to making our region a vital and attractive place to live and work.

Continuing investments in education help spark and nurture an interest in science and technology among students in the region, who we hope will be inspired to become part of the Laboratory’s workforce of the future.

Our employees have committed $2.1 million to 566 nonprofit organizations for 2016.  LANS will match up to $1 million of these pledges.  Since 2007, LANS has invested more than $8.5 million to match our employee’s donations totaling nearly $16 million to the annual Employee Giving Campaign alone. Our employees give throughout the year as well, not only monetarily, but with their time and talent.   This commitment reflects our culture of giving.

This year we celebrate our partnerships within the region, and look forward to working with you to make our region stronger and the best place to work and live.
