The Center for Theoretical Astrophysics spans a wide range of divisions and directorates. Core scientists reside in the following divisions:
- Computer, Computational, and Statistical Sciences (CCS)
- Computational Physics (XCP)
- Theoretical Design (XTD)
- Earth and Environmental Sciences (EES)
- Theoretical (T)
In turn, they work on collaborations with scientists in these divisions:
- Chemistry-Nuclear and Radiochemistry (C-NR)
- Intelligence and Space Research (ISR)
- Physics (P)
The Lab has roughly 50 active astrophysicists; 80% of them are permanent staff.
