Night with a Nerd: Exploring Mars with Perseverance and Ingenuity

Event Description
NASA’s biggest rover, Perseverance, landed on Mars in February with a mission to collect and eventually return samples to Earth. Perseverance’s companion is the Ingenuity helicopter.
Roger Wiens is a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory and has been involved in several of NASA’s robotic missions, including the Curiosity rover’s ChemCam, the Genesis, Stardust, Mars Odyssey, Lunar Prospector, and Deep Space-One. He is the author of “Red Rover: Inside the Story of Robotic Space Exploration, from Genesis to the Mars Rover Curiosity.”
