Event Description

This hour-long lecture precedes a tour and workshop that's part of a longer event. You can sign up for just the talk for $10 ($8 for Bradbury Science Museum Association members) or enjoy the entire program for $50 ($40 for Bradbury Science Museum Association members).

Science meets comics meets lecture

Sure, you could take a science class or one of several online classes on comic books but why not combine them both at the Bradbury Science Museum?

Join us as we explore the history and use of science in comics in this  lecture!  We'll look at how the visual language of comic books has tackled everything from explanations of how Superman flies to the development of the Manhattan Project.

Jeff Benham, a member of 7000 B.C., a non-profit organization that promotes the writers and artists of comics, will lead the lecture.

Profits from this event will benefit the educational outreach of the BSMA.

Registration is here.
