Challenge Tomorrow
Try some hands-on activities and explore the latest in the Laboratory’s science at ScienceFest on June 21.

June 21: ScienceFest Discovery Day
As just one of the many events in Los Alamos’ week-long ScienceFest, the Laboratory’s Challenge Tomorrow STEM education trailers (and other Lab-related activities) will be setting up at Ashley Pond Park joining a range of fun science-related happenings.

June 25: Community and Environmental Sciences Day at the Bradbury
The Laboratory’s Bradbury Science Museum highlights the work of the Lab’s Environmental Protection and Compliance division, and debuts a new exhibit on homesteading. Come and enjoy short talks about homesteading artifacts found on Lab property, and the work being done to keep our environment healthy.

June 25: Taos small business case study
UNM-Taos Hive hosts this talk from Nick Streit of Taos Fly Shop discussing his experiences running a business in Taos, and his advice for other business owners.

June 26: Nonprofit planning for a new budget year
Join the Santa Fe Community Foundation at this workshop highlighting nonprofit financial best practices including oversight, budget management strategies, and building an effective finance committee.

June 28: ScienceFest Discovery After Dark
The Bradbury Science Museum provides evening activities and programming as part of ScienceFest’s ‘STEAM for adults’ event.

June 30: Deadline for Micro-Grant applications
Supported by Laboratory operator Triad, the Regional Development Corporation’s Micro-Grant Fund provides a small infusion of capital up to $3000 to help Northern New Mexico businesses diversify, sustain or grow revenue, and create job opportunities. Applications are now open, and more information is here.
