Specializing in matter
Plasma physics, equation of state, opacity, transport and solid state properties
The LANL Dense Matter Theory research team comprises experts in plasma physics, and compressed matter, including equation of state, interactions with photons, electron scattering, phase boundaries, and solid state physics. With deep expertise in theoretical modeling and high-performance computing, the team develops advanced methods and tools to study dense plasmas and strongly coupled materials. This research supports new insights in plasma science, energy systems, astrophysics, and inertial confinement fusion.
