Production Agency Quality (PAQ) division employs the highest technical knowledge, skills and tools to ensure that all manufactured products within their Weapons program area meet or exceed defined quality expectations.

PAQ also strives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Weapons Quality Management system.

  • PAQ-1: Plutonium Product Quality Engineering and Inspection

    PAQ-1 provides independent verification of design requirements through product quality engineering and dimensional inspection to ensure seamless product acceptance.

    • PAQ-2: Production Quality Assurance

      PAQ-2 provides quality support to weapons-related processes using technical tools, knowledge and skills related to production assurance, as well as software and supply chain quality.

      • PAQ-3: Detonator Product Quality Engineering and Inspection

        PAQ-3 provides independent verification of requirements through product quality engineering and dimensional inspection to ensure seamless product acceptance

        • NEA: Nuclear Enterprise Assurance

          NEA works collaboratively with a wide range of technical communities to protect against adversarial subversion by providing cross-enterprise risk-reduction strategies to mitigate adversarial threats against the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile.
