Flow Cytometry Instruments
Instrumentation capabilities:
LANL has an array of flow cytometers, including both analyzers and sorters located in BSL-1 and BSL-2 facilities. Our researchers have a wide variety of expertise in both instrument and application development, if you are interested in collaborating on current or future projects please email bioscience-info@lanl.gov.
Analyzers
- Fluorescent excitation of fluorophores with 488 and 640nm lasers and four-color detection
- Automatic sampling from 96-well plates
- Image Analysis: Brightfield correlated with fluorescence localization
- Bead-based multiplex immune- or nucleic acid assays
Sorters
- Isolation of populations specified through gating on one or more fluorescent or scatter parameters, allowing multiplexing and particle recovery
- Fluorescent excitation of fluorophores with up to 5 lasers, including (across instruments) 355, 405, 488, 532, 561, and 640nm and 19 fluorescence channels
- Sorting of up to 4 populations at a time
- Sorting into 96- or 384-well plates, including single cell sorting
