High Performance Computing (HPC) supports the Laboratory mission by managing world-class supercomputing centers, including specifying, operating, and assisting in the use of both open and secure high performance computing, storage, and emerging data-intensive information science production systems for multiple programs.

    The Intern Showcase is an annual event allowing HPC interns to present their research.

  • Supercomputer Institute

    The Supercomputer Institute is an intense, paid, 11-week, hands-on technical internship for people of all majors interested in the growing field of high-performance computing. You will obtain a thorough introduction to the techniques and practices of HPC; no HPC experience is required.

External Internship Grants

Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internship (SULI): The SULI program is for undergraduate interns pursuing degrees in science, engineering, mathematics, or other technical fields. Participants are provided with salary for 10-week internships during the summer.

Community College Internships (CCI): The CCI program provides community college interns enrolled in associate's degree programs with salaried 10-week summer internships.
