Information Analysis and Rapid-Response Technology Development

The International and Applied Technology Division conducts a broad range of analytical, technology development and application, and rapid-response activities in support of multiple national security and national emergency response organizations.

IAT Division was formed in June 2006 from several existing groups for the purpose of simplifying roles, responsibilities and authorities for this area of programmatic work.

Key technical capabilities found in the division include

• Electrodynamic science, technology and applications
• Nuclear weapons technology assessment, systems analysis, and diagnostics
• Specialized training services and devices for emergency responders
• Sensor design and development
• Development and maintenance of customized, secure databases
• Analysis of export commodities for potential proliferation risks
