LUG Executive Committee
LUG provides direct input to LANSCE management, primarily through LUG's Executive Committee.
Users may contact Executive Committee members to bring issues to LANSCE management’s attention.
The LUG Executive Committee typically includes twelve members; a student or postdoctoral researcher serves as one member. The new members will serve three-year terms and the graduate student or postdoctoral researcher will serve a one-year term.
Membership terms are staggered to maintain continuity. The members are elected by a LUG membership vote. Candidates are chosen to reflect LANSCE’s main scientific activities.
The LUG Executive Committee and LANSCE management have monthly conference calls. These calls let management keep the Executive Committee updated on LANSCE activities. They also let the Executive Committee share user issues with management. The calls also help participants discuss strategies for the future of LANSCE facilities.
