Training is required for all badged holder individuals. The Prime subcontractor, manager, or STR, should know if any special training is required for their subcontractors or visitor, etc. while they are onsite.
Subcontractors should have an active record and Z# before starting any trainings. An email notification will be sent with details on your Z# and badge appointment. Subcontractors will also require a badge to complete any proctored trainings.
The training system LANL uses is called Utrain which houses our training records. Subcontractors have a training profile within the system. Accessing Utrain requires a Ztoken, PIV card, or YubiKey. Your STR will let you know if you require one of these and how to obtain one.
If you do not have access to Utrain, you can complete institutional courses on Extrain.lanl.gov. These can be completed on any computer.
For any courses not on Extrain, you will need to complete these with a proctor. Work with your organization to schedule proctoring.
Work with your STR on the request form submission. Once confirmed to proceed you can make an appointment with the badge office.
Make sure your Z# is active with your STR or badge office. Once, confirmed, you can get scheduled for proctoring.
