Prototype Fabrication (PF) supports nuclear deterrence and scientific exploration through precision machining and fabrication.

The Prototype Fabrication Division (PF-DO) advances nuclear deterrence and scientific discovery through precision machining and fabrication. Our team of machinists, engineers, and metrologists manufacture and inspect critical mechanical components that support the national security mission. 

  • Integrated Logistics & Asset Management

    Integrated Logistics & Asset Management (PF-ILAM) is responsible for the planning, integration, and execution of prototype and component manufacturing for weapons production, systems engineering and stockpile modernization programs.

  • Prototype Fabrication Manufacturing

    Prototype Fabrication Manufacturing (PF-MFG) provides machining, welding, CNC programming and design support for high-precision components across a diverse collection of machine tools and materials.

  • Prototype Fabrication Applied Metrology

    Prototype Fabrication Applied Metrology (PF-AM) provides services and support for manufacturing missions through programming, engineering and dimensional inspection.
