The SPARC Team

Meet the researchers of this innovative, mission-focused collaboration

A unique joint effort between DOE national lab and a top university

The LANL Michigan SPARC combines an exceptional team of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) scientists, University of Michigan (U-M) faculty, and postdoctoral researchers.

These experts are each at the forefront of their fields and specialize in areas of high-impact physics, artificial intelligence, software and hardware design, numerical methods, algorithm development, and more.

This unique collaboration allows students a rare opportunity to engage in groundbreaking research of national importance.

Through hands-on collaboration, students will work directly with leaders who are shaping the future of scientific computing, national security, and advanced engineering. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be part of a world-class team pushing the boundaries of discovery.
