Symposium Theme The sky is falling! Or is it? Change is surely coming to high performance computing, but how will it really affect the way that we design the tools and applications of the future? Will domain scientists suddenly learn to shuffle bits? Will computer scientists develop a magic compiler? And what about the architectures and systems-level developers? Will they defy natural law to bring us a machine that can run for longer than ten minutes and will only use 50 MWs? Dust off your crystal balls and sharpen your tongues to join in what promises to be a lively discussion of the current challenges and trends in supercomputing at the 2010 Los Alamos Computer Science Symposium.
