DOE Electrical Safety HandbookDOE Handbook Electrical Safety, DOE HDBK1092-2004 (pdf) DOE Handbook Electrical Safety, DOE-HDBK-1092-2009 - draft R&D chapters (pdf) Draft Chapters The link above contains the 4 draft R&D chapters, which include updated versions of the two previous R&D chapters (now Chapters 11 and 13), plus the two new chapters on Hazard Analysis (Chapter 3) and Approval of Unlisted Electrical Equipment (Chapter 12). These two new chapters have been under development by the EFCOG/DOE Electrical Safety Subgroup for 4 years and are the result of a consensus effort involving more than 10 DOE sites and 50 authors/reviewers. Following this consensus effort, much of the new material is already is use at many of those sites. Timeline and Process The two new R&D chapters were under development from 2004 to 2008, the total revised handbook was edited and reviewed by site participants during 2007 and 2008, and the complete revised handbook, with a total of 13 technical chapters was submitted to DOE Headquarters in January, 2009 for review and publication.
