The Physical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (C-PCS) Group integrates scientific, engineering, and modelling disciplines to solve problems in physical chemistry and applied spectroscopy. Our research empowers a diverse range of customers and supports Laboratory missions in national security.
Researchers in C-PCS leverage the measurement and diagnostic power of light to solve a vast array of research problems — from basic R&D and device creation to the application and deployment of systems for applied missions. Our teams have achieved global recognition for their expertise in optoelectronic devices, optical signatures and detection algorithms, and development of integrated global biosurveillance systems.
