A-5 supports NNSA’s Office of Counterterrorism and Counterproliferation with focus on the Nuclear Threat Science and Nuclear Incident Response missions. The Group contributes to national programs intended to counter, protect, and respond to weapons of mass destruction. We specialize in rapid prototyping, designing / building / evaluating and delivering tools and trainers, and the development of novel safing technologies. The Group integrates across the Laboratory and with external sponsors to provide world-changing solutions directly to the field.
