2021 HTT Symposium

2021 HTT Symposium, July 20, 2021, via Zoom

Topic: How Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Transform the Human Condition

Our July 2021 symposium, “How Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Transform the Human Condition,” was hosted through a partnership between Los Alamos National Laboratory and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine’s Committee on Science, Technology, and Law.

The symposium is part of a broader initiative focusing on harnessing transformative technologies, and builds on our September 2020 symposium titled, “COVID-19: Harnessing a Transformational Pandemic.” Topics such as systems biology and artificial intelligence not only represent compelling research frontiers but also highlight national security challenges with social, ethical, and legal implications.
