This briefing is designed to ensure that you, a Los Alamos National Laboratory worker, are aware of your cyber security responsibilities.

All Laboratory computer users are required to complete this briefing as soon as you are granted access to Laboratory computers, and to complete the Annual Security Refresher briefing every year (course #1425) to stay current. You will receive an email notice when it is time to take the annual refresher, which is available online.

All users of Laboratory computing resources must complete this briefing before performing any work-related computer processing.

You are a computer user if you:

• use a LANL-owned computer;
• connect to a LANL network;
• use a LANL network for email; or
• have email forwarded through the LANL network.

You are not a computer user if you only access Laboratory computer resources to complete required training.

Classified Computer User Training

Computer users who process classified data must also complete the Classified Computer Security training (course #17846) and any facility-specific and system-specific training.

At the end of this briefing you will answer several self-assessment questions. Your answers are not recorded; however, in order to receive EDS credit for taking this course, you must exit via the "Quiz" section as per instructions found there.
