The presentor: Nancy R. Bartlit is an author, oral historian and a lecturer registered with the New Mexico Endowment for the Humanities as well as the Historical Society of New Mexico. A graduate of Smith College, Bartlit majored in history. She taught Japanese students for two years in Sendai, Japan, just 13-15 years after WWII ended. She visited all four main islands of Japan. Later, she revisited Japan five times, including several visits to Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
