Fourth Fridays in Downtown Los Alamos

Event Description

The museum will be open late until 6pm every Fourth Friday offering extended access to exhibits, special programming, and activities.

The Los Alamos Creative District is introducing Fourth Fridays, an initiative for local businesses to offer extended hours, special programming or discounts one Friday per month. The initiative is meant to encourage people to visit and enjoy the downtown area.

  Bradbury Science Museum is participating by staying open late until 6:00 PM offering access to exhibits and special activities for all ages. Admission is free and open to the public.

  • June 26 - Working with Wind Power: Engineer and design wind generators or build and fly a miniature helicopter.
  • July 24 - Under the Microscope: Explore the natural world through the eyes of microscopes. Examine pond water, plants, fibers, pollen, and more.
  • August 28 - Robotics Night at the Museum: Try your hand at a robot obstacle course, watch a demonstration of bomb squad robots, and see Sumo Bots battle it out.
  • September 25 - Illusions of Light and Reflection: Celebrate the International Year of Light by experimenting with kaleidoscopes, mirrors, and shadows.
