Dr. Mary Frances Dorn is a research scientist in the Statistical Sciences group. She joined the Lab as a staff member in 2017, and has since collaborated on problems in nuclear nonproliferation and forensics, material science, analytical chemistry, and extreme climate modeling. Her areas of expertise include statistical modeling, nonparametric regression and classification, machine learning, Bayesian modeling, and uncertainty quantification. She is currently the co-organizer of the CCS-6 Invited Seminar Series, and has previously served the ASA Section on Phys. and Eng. Sciences as program chair for the Joint Statistical Meetings and the Fall Technical Conference.
