Current research interests involve design and integration of functional biomolecular materials in hybrid (i.e., biotic/abiotic) nanomaterials, devices. Specific projects include: active assembly processes based on biomolecular motors, fungal-based synthesis of ceramic nanoparticles, and correlative light and electron microscopy of biotic/abiotic materials.
