Los Alamos National LaboratoryDetonator Production (DET)
Los Alamos-produced detonators fabricated today are the result of real-time innovation.

The Detonator Production (DET) family has been a vital part of Los Alamos National Laboratory since the Manhattan Project during WWII. From developing the EBW devices that detonated the first atomic bomb to the weapons of the future that will use new and emerging technologies, DET has embodied the principle of continuous improvement.

Then & Now

At DET, I’m encouraged to try new things, challenge the status quo, and use structured problem solving to resolve issues. The continuous improvement culture at DET is great! My wife and I are very happy here in Los Alamos, and we have no intention of leaving. From the breathtaking scenery to the outdoor adventures, this is a great place to live.
