Apply today to partner with the Math and Science Academy
Calling all elementary schools and institutions of higher education!
Our Math and Science Academy (MSA) requests your help to fulfill one of its long-time goals: to develop a partnership school—essentially an existing district elementary school in either Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, San Miguel, Sandoval, or Taos county that will collaborate with MSA, the community, and an institution of higher education with a teacher pre-service program.
What’s in it for you? In addition to working with our fun and talented MSA educators, elementary school teachers and principals will have opportunities to think critically and deeply about their practice as educators by being part of a model learning environment.
Institutions of higher education will have the same opportunity to work with MSA educators and also to collaborate with elementary staff in teaching courses, mentoring teacher candidates, and guiding research.
The continuing development of educational best practices by both parties will have a lasting impact on the future of education in Northern New Mexico. Be a part of it by applying today.

Math Teacher Leader Network
Additionally, MSA is hard at work cultivating a Math Teacher Leader Network, which will enhance the quality of math education in elementary schools through a network of math teacher leaders.
This network of area educators can share best practices, experiences, challenges, training expertise, and resources, and will be a training resource for math education content and teaching.
