Do you love hands-on science? Are you interested in solar energy? Would your kids enjoy building solar-powered motors or cars? Then come on down to Ashley Pond Park on July 13 for ScienceFest’s Discovery Day and “unleash your genius!” Mel Strong of the Bradbury Science Museum will have a booth with all you need to explore the relationship between our sun’s solar rays and electricity, that invaluable commodity that powers much of our lives.

One of ScienceFest’s signature events, Discovery Day brings together thousands of attendees and hundreds of local scientists, engineers, artists, and techies. It’s a full-on family-friendly, nerd extravaganza  with interactive science demonstrations, tons of kid-friendly activities, live music, local food and beverage vendors, and much, much more.
