Talk on "Why dinosaurs needed fusion rockets too"

Join us for Science on Tap at 5:30 p.m. on July 21
Not only are the rockets important, so are their speed.

Join Glen Wurden, of the Lab's Plasma Physics group, to hear about "Why the dinosaurs needed fusion rockets too." Originally presented last year as a TEDxLANL talk, he contends that while the U.S. must continue to maintain its nuclear stockpile in an uncertain world, he'll explain another reason they’re a necessity and why speed is important.

This talk is being presented as a result of a comment from you on one of our Science on Tap feedback forms. We're listening!

Science on tap

Science on Tap is a convivial opportunity to engage with Lab scientists on their current projects. A brief presentation is followed by lively questions, answers and discussion. The fun takes place on the third Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the UnQuarked Wine Room at 145 Central Park Plaza in Los Alamos. Free; open to all ages.

The sessions are a joint project between the Bradbury Science Museum and the Los Alamos Creative District.
