Event Description

Join Mel Strong, the Bradbury Science Museum’s Science Educator, at this STEM Extravaganza!

Now in its third year, the Girl Scouts STEM Extravaganza is an exciting day full of fun and educational hands-on activities in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math for the whole family! The BSM’s Mel Strong will be on hand with a “build your own solar-powered circuit” booth where participants can choose from a variety of solar cells, motors, lights, pumps, buzzers, and switches to build and experiment with circuits of their own design that will operate in the sun.  If the sun is not cooperating, Mel will also have human-powered crank generators to provide power.  Participants can spend as much time as they want connecting as many things together as they want…there are nearly an infinite number of combinations!

Date: Saturday, September 7, 2019
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Please visit the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails website for more information.
