Lab's 75th anniversary public celebration scheduled for March 13
1350 Central Ave, Los Alamos, NM 87544, USA
Event Description
The public is invited to this special event.
Los Alamos National Laboratory (previously known as Project Y of the Manhattan Project and Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory) celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. In honor of this historic event the Museum will host a public celebration on March 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be remarks by Laboratory Director Terry Wallace, and light refreshments will be served. During this event the Bradbury Science Museum Association will, for the first time, make available for purchase items that incorporate both the 75th anniversary logo as well as the logos the Laboratory has used at various points in its history. Also, in the planning stages is an event to commemorate the opening of the Museum in its current location 25 years ago. Expected in April of this year, stay tuned to our calendar for more information about the date.
