Event Description

The fourth event in the Night with a Nerd series will be Thursday, Dec. 13, 6:00-8:00 pm at the Bradbury Science Museum.

The Bradbury Science Museum Association, the museum's affiliated non-profit organization supporting STEM learning in northern New Mexico, presents the fourth "Night with a Nerd" event with Michael Salmon and Richard Lee of the Lab’s Office of Seismic Hazards and Risk Mitigation. Join us for an overview of Seismicity on the Pajarito Plateau and discuss how historical knowledge, seismic faults, and local geology are used to develop site-specific seismic hazards.
This event is free for Bradbury Science Museum Association members. For nonmembers, the cost is $10, but you can join the BSMA onsite if you'd like. The talk will be followed by a reception and light refreshments, so it really is a bargain. However, everyone who wants to attend needs to register as space is limited.
