Event Description

The lecture and the lecture + workshop are priced separately.

Sure, you could take a science class or one of several online classes on comic books, but why not combine them at the Bradbury Science Museum?

Jeff Benham will lead the sessions. Jeff is a member of 7000 B.C., a nonprofit organization that promotes the writers and artists of comics.

The event will consist of two parts. There will be a lecture (limited to 64 registrants) on the history and use of science in comic books. The second part (limited to 15 participants) is an optional tour of the Museum (by the Museum's Director Linda Deck), followed by a lunchbreak, and then a hands-on workshop in which you can learn techniques of the comic medium and create a science-based graphic novel of your own.
