The neutrino yesterday and today

Keith Rielage, a neutrino physicist with the Lab's Neutron Science & Technology group, will share a brief tale of the discovery and study of the neutrino. The neutrino was discovered by Los Alamos scientists Fred Reines and Clyde Cowan in 1956. During the last 60 years, the Lab has performed many experiments to determine the properties of this elusive particle.

After the the short, initial presentation there will be lively discussion and Q&As until around 7 p.m.
