Tech or treat! High-tech Halloween is a monster smash
Bradbury Science Museum brings the spook-tacular science
November 27, 2024
Young Frankensteins and their families came out in force for High-Tech Halloween 2024 at the Laboratory's Bradbury Science Museum on Oct. 25.
The event was held in conjunction with Los Alamos Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet, and visitors of all ages enjoyed family-friendly, hands-on science tricks and treats, including a chamber of clouds, "boo" bubbles, out-of-this world light shows, eerie electrons and other interactive demonstrations.
With some of the activities led by real Laboratory scientists, the fun spilled out to the museum's parking lot, where guests could try their hand at controlling robot dogs. More than 1600 people came by in the two hours of the event, which even boasted a string quartet!
The team responsible for putting on the event and all its activities included the Bradbury Science Museum staff, Laboratory volunteers, Laboratory retirees, the nonprofit Bradbury Science Museum Association and the National Museum of Nuclear Science and History.
