Get the student in your life excited for a new school year with the Manhattan Project Electronic Field Trip, created by our friends at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. The Bradbury Science Museum is proud to feature in this engaging program. Led by local students from across the country, it tells the unique histories of the Manhattan Project and the people who dramatically changed science and society. Ambitious and engaging, it is easy to understand why this documentary was one of this summer’s Daytime Emmy nominees for Outstanding Daytime Non-Fiction Special.

Over 80,000 students across the country watched the program when it broadcast last year. Targeting middle and high school students, this documentary is an excellent resource for project ideas as well as prompting class and home discussions. It explores key subjects like science, geography, and American history.

Viewers don’t need to be in class – or a kid — to watch the program. Featuring different perspectives of the Manhattan Project’s secrecy, invention, and genius, it makes for fascinating viewing any time, at any age.
