Expertise

  • High pressure-temperature measurements of phase transitions, equation of state, and structural properties of materials using powder X-ray diffraction, X-ray absorption spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy in diamond anvil cells (DAC)
  • High pressure-temperature electrical and thermal transport properties (e.g., electrical and thermal conductivity) of materials using a Paris-Edinburgh press (developed specialized sample cell assembly)
  • High pressure-temperature (hydrothermal) solubility/speciation/dissolution properties of solids/liquids using hydrothermal DAC
  • Low temperature transport and thermodynamic property measurements (e.g., heat capacity, electrical conductivity) of materials using a Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS)
