August 15: Deadline for LANL Foundation Education and Community grants
The LANL Foundation awards education outreach and community outreach grants of up to $2,500 to qualified education programs that serve Northern New Mexico. The application deadline for both is August 15.

A New Normal.Life and the Rio Arriba Community Health Council host a free community concert featuring the band Ozomatli at Northern New Mexico College. A health fair and lowrider show start the proceedings at 12 p.m. with the first band at 4 p.m.

Meet Native artists and learn about contemporary Indian arts and cultures at the 97th Santa Fe Indian Market in the heart of the City Different.
August 25: National Park Founders Day
Celebrate the founding of the National Park system with a trip to Bandelier National Monument, where there will be special events to mark the occasion.
