In 2013, the Lab held a competition for students in grades 6 through 12 in Northern New Mexico to help spur their creative thinking. As part of its ongoing STEM education efforts (where STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math), the Lab will hold the event again in 2014. This is an opportunity for students to learn about the Laboratory and then use that knowledge to design an app, video, poster or essay to share their concepts of the future.
Students and instructors will have access to step-by-step instructions and guidelines aimed at encouraging them to take part in this challenge.
The top winning teams will receive iPad minis and the schools representing the top of each category will also receive other prizes.

Registration began December 15
Submissions must be uploaded by February 7, 2014
Winners will be announced on March 3, 2014
