Manager Responsibilities (pg. 1 of 3)

A manager is responsible for observing worker behavior on the job and maintaining a safe and secure workplace.

If a manager observes possible problems commonly associated with substance abuse, he or she should first discuss those behaviors with the worker and make a management referral to Occupational Medicine Division - Medical Services, for an evaluation. The manager should NOT attempt to diagnose the problem.
