Tour of Magnet Lab
Tours of many Laboratory facilities were offered to students last summer, including a visit to the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory. Students learned about magnetic fields, inertial storage, motor-generators for high field pulsed magnets, and capacitator-driven pulsed magnets. Other facilities students were able to tour included RAVE, Roadrunner and the Network Operations Center, DARHT, and LANSCE.

2008 All-Students Meeting with Terry Wallace
Each year, the Students' Association plans an all-student meeting with a member of upper management so students can hear upper management's perspective on the student programs and ask questions they may have. Terry Wallace spoke to students and answered their questions in the Los Alamos High School gym during July.

2008 Student Lunch at LANL Research Library
The LANL Research Library offered lunch and product demonstrations to students and their mentors in June. About 500 students and their mentors converged on the Research Library to eat free food and learn about library services and products that are available to all employees, including students.
