National High-Magnetic Field LaboratoryFacility Description The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) operates high magnetic field facilities at its main facility at Florida State University in Tallahassee, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the University of Florida at Gainesville. Supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF), the NHMFL at Los Alamos is a user facility for pulsed magnetic field up to 60 tesla and is available to qualified researchers through a proposal review process.
