Conflict-of-Interest Program Office, LC-COI
The Conflict of Interest (COI) Office is the principal advisor to the
Laboratory community with respect to individual and organizational
conflicts of interest and ethical conduct. An essential component in
meriting the public's trust in all of our activities, the COI Office
serves as the primary liaison for staff programmatic and other financial
disclosure requirements and assists in maintaining Laboratory standards
in areas that include conflicts in commitment with Laboratory duties;
conflicting financial interests; endorsements; gifts and honoraria;
impartiality in performing official duties; integrity in research; job
seeking; misuse of position; organizational conflicts of interest in
subcontracts with the Laboratory -- particularly those involving
advisory and professional support services; outside activities;
post-employment considerations; technology transfer; and
University-industry relations.
