Lab’s 2011 FY Procurement Almost $1 Billion

Through September 30 (the end of the fiscal year), the Lab spent $917 million purchasing what it needed to carry out its national defense mission and exceeded its goals for purchases made from small businesses in Northern New Mexico and the rest of the state. Economic Development

Economic development plays a significant role in strengthening communities. The Community Programs Office (CPO) partners with industry, government, universities, and local economic development and business organizations to promote a strong, vibrant, local community.

LANL's Economic Development Team works to continually expand its outreach to clients that may be unfamiliar with the financial and technical assistance that is available to help local businesses realize their vision and goals for the new economy.
