Economic Development

Economic development plays one of the most significant roles in strengthening communities. The Community Programs Office role in Economic Development is to promote partnerships among industry, state, and local governments, universities, technology organizations, and local economic development organizations. CPO is also responsible for managing;

  • New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program
  • Northern New Mexico Connect
  • The Community Grants Program
  • Overseeing the Subcontractor Regional and Community Development Plans.

LANL's Economic Development Team works to continually expand its outreach to clients that may be unfamiliar with the financial and technical assistance that is available to help local businesses realize their vision and goals for the new economy
