Review of Postdoctoral Packages
Prescreening Review
- All sponsored postdoctoral candidate packages are initially
reviewed, evaluated, and scored by the Postdoctoral Prescreening
Committee (subset of the Full Postdoctoral Committee).
- Results are communicated by e-mail from the Postdoctoral Program
Office
Full Committee
- All sponsored postdoctoral candidate packages recommended by
the Prescreening Committee to be considered by the Full Committee
for a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellow appointment are reviewed,
evaluated, and scored by the Full Committee at a quarterly Postdoctoral
Committee meeting.
- Sponsors of postdoctoral candidate’s being considered
for a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellow appointment make a
brief presentation to the Full Committee.
- Each individual candidate’s package is "thoroughly" discussed
by the Full Committee
- The Full Committee scores the individual candidate packages
- Candidate packages are grouped into 3 categories:
- A - All of the candidates in this category
are extended a Director’s Postdoctoral Fellow offer.
- B - All of the candidates in this category
are considered to be equally qualified. Limited number of offers
will be extended to candidates in this group based on available
funding.
- C – All of the candidates in this
category are approved for a Postdoctoral Research Associate
appointment.
- All results are communicated by e-mail from the Postdoctoral
Program Office
